The Shroomery. How has it benefited you?

I've been picking active mushrooms for years before I joined the Shroomery but since I joined I gained an interest in edible mushrooms which soon led onto cacti, plants, and now I'm getting into identifying birds and mammals!
Anyway, thats how the Shroomery has benefited me, how has it benefited you?

i think the mayor benefit i have had from the shroomery is human... i feel so connected to all you guys this really has become like a family for me... and the 2 gatherings i have been to just have confirmed what i have felt the whole time... shroomerites are a very special kind of person... the mere open mind that comes from psychedelics puts us all onto a very similar path so there is a kind of understanding i rarely find in other persons in my real life...

I used to think that pharmaceuticals and other harder drugs and the
people who used them were pathetic and hopeless. Since I have joined
The Shroomery, I have become a user of other drugs myself and realized
that with proper care and caution, most drugs can benefit you in one
way or another and be very safe. And the people who use these
substances are some of the most caring and understanding people I have
ever met.
I've finally made it home.

i suppose you could say i was the other way around, i was picking edibles.
anywho, this site opened avenues for more than simply the hunting and cultivation of mushrooms, it empowered me to make informed decisions about things perhaps i would have maken ignorant choices on. in fact perhaps for a time i was that innocent person who was making all the desicions that would serve to trick himself down the road to ruin. now im anything but innocent and anything but falling for the guilded edge of character oblivian.

I've met many cool folks who share many of the same interests as myself. As I've always felt like kind of an oddball, this place has made me feel much better about myself, my interests, my beliefs, and the way I interract with others.
And being able to cultivate my own shrooms is pretty sweet, too!

Well, my first positive ID's were edibles when I was 12 (Auricularia Judae & Agaricus campestris) but I wasn't much into cooking then lol
Always found fungi fascinating from an early age though.

To an extent, same. My writing wasn't bad before, but I'm better at rhetoric and wording now methinks.

I've met so many people here. I can't even imagine myself without the shroomery. I got all the information for growing here and my first time was a success!
Also, my first flush gave me my first psychedelic experience.
I can come here and be entertained nightly. Also...all the hot guys and gals hang out here.
Damn we need our own island already.

2 years for me but damn I spend a lot of time here. Totally worth it though, it's a good lvoe-hate relationship, like any meaningful addiction.
