Dunking Temp?

Hey guys quick Q. Is room temp water fine for dunking? Also say after the first flush there is open areas on the cake from where u picked a shroom... is it ok to dunk it like this or should u patch it with verm? Im preparing for my first grow so if im not making sense i apologize. Thanx again, the people on this site are an amazing help.

Don't worry with the missing chunks, it happens. It's ok. You can load your cakes into a pot of water for dunking and then pop the pot into the fridge for 24 hours. The cold will slow down bacteria during the dunk. If you can't use the fridge, room temps of 68-75 are fine. Only dunk for 12 hours at room temps instead of 24....

the bottom of my closet is 74-77 degrees... 12 hours sounds perfect :smile:. Should i be fine with that?

Yep!!! After the dunk, rinse the cakes off under the tap so you can rinse off any bacteria that'll form...

When I've done cakes in the past, I've dunked for about 12 hours in a fairly warm room (I have no AC), and I've had good results. You might want to roll your now moist cakes in vermiculite before putting them back in your terrarium. This seems to help as well.
