    #4687806 - 09/20/05 10:39 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

ok i know they need cool tempratures, but was wondering how cool they will go. im in usda zone 5, not sure on a or b, but zone 5.... i was wondering that since it does hard freezing here how would i make a cyanescens bed self sustaining over the winter so i wouldnt have to put in any extra work like laying plastic, or adding wood chips. would i just have to make the bed deeper??? wood workers welcome to post here!

ok i think i found what i was looking for here http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/23362 but my next question is, since im in zone 5, how would i go about making it so i wouldnt have to protect the beds. would i just have to make them deeper, sunken into the ground or make many points where chips are below the frost line to wake up the bed when freezing goes away? thanks in advance!
