Got a question. Went out and bought some verm today went all over town and found only one bag but the verm is very fine not like the first stuff i bought.I have read in PF tek that fine verm is not very good but i don't have a choice. Store won't get anymore until next spring: ( Anyone ever used this? Do you think it will work the same as the courser verm?Thanks for any tips :)

just how fine is it exactly. How big are the pieces, on average?

That will be fine be sure to be carefull how much water you add it is not as easy to tell with the finer verm.

it'll be fine. I've used verm that is like dust before. it worked fine. granted it did take a while for it to collonize. but it all did collonize. 1/2 pints with 1/4cc at 4 locations. all 12 jars were done in like 4 weeks.
the dust like verm works better as a verm barrier against contams.

My buddy used the fine stuff and it works but the bigger chunk is way better. Large chunk colonizes faster and doesn't have the compacting effect the small stuff does.
