A prequel to Red Dragon and SOTL
    #4685136 - 09/20/05 04:02 AM (11 years, 5 months ago)

Behind the Mask is a novel written by The Silence of the Lambs author Thomas Harris to be published in 2005. It is set before Red Dragon in Hannibal Lecter's early years. It will explain how Lecter developed his particular appetite for evil.

The novel, published by Delacorte Press, is expected to be released November 29, 2005.

A film adaptation, Young Hannibal, is in the works for a 2006 release. The film will be directed by Peter Webber from a screenplay by Harris. The Weinstein Co. will distribute the film in the United States.

Hell yea.... I can't fucking wait.

I don't know why, but I didn't think Red Dragon was that great. It was good, but there are so many better books out there. I will still probably check this new one out, though.
