syringe clumps

I have noticed in some of my syringes that the spores clump together in a bunch and there is a milky white clean lining around them is this a contam?

sounds like your spores germinated in the syringes. You now have a culture syringe. That isn't a bad thing, colonizes your sub faster.

Great for an LC, should be colonised very quick.

I just had the same problem in my syringe I think. It doesnt seem to be colonizing any faster though.

so would it be better to put a spore syringe (in a ziplock) in the incubator before using it to inoculate so it turns into LC and colonizes faster?

I did not know it was possible for myc to form in a standard spore syringe.

I saw the white stuff in a maz. syringe that i made and when i used it it turn out to be the mean green two days later.I also had a malabar syringe made up and it clumped up by the next day so i just got rid of it.

btw, my jars ended up getting infected with green mold. So if you notice crap in your syringe that looks like that, I'm guessing its not usually a good thing.

Did you make this syringe or is it from an vendor? If you made it yourself , what kind of water did you use? You need to use distilled water because it has no nutrients , if not the spores may germinate and grow like in your syringe.
