Sounds excellent Robot!
What will your hours be? Just a regular 9-5er? That's cool, though. Congratulations!

Does your temp agency get a cut of your check? I have heard of that happening, but I am ignorant to the workings of normal temp agencies.

Well that's cool. Maybe these people that you are going to be working for will be able to hook you up with something more permanent.

That's exactly what I'm hoping...and if $16/hr is the temporary position's salary, and if I could get them to hold on to me at that rate for a while, imagine what an actual entry-level position into the company might be?
But then again it could also end up just being a thing that lasts for these 3 weeks and then it's over. We'll see! Either way I'm grateful to the gods above.

I'm going home to have dinner with my mom tonight and I was going to have to ask her for help with money, and I was thinking about it when the call came, now it's all different.

Congrats !! Watch out with those "temps".Friend of mine got a computer graphics job near Times Square thru a temp...$27.00 /hr. for 3 months or so. He hired full time directly with the company... 1st paycheck was $20./hr.Now he's kinda trapped.{maybe future benefits } I'm not sure how the temp can pay more per hr. {plus their fee} Maybe not the temps' fault ... Anyway, ......

Testing video games is NOT playing video games.
I had a friend who tested video games for Blizzard, it makes you hate gaming.
You never get to play, you mostly spend 4 hrs jumping in the same spot, or jumping while moving, or moving along the screen.
You never actually play the game, you just do completely ridiculous, boring, inane tasks.
The hours are also absolutely terrible.
