long term no maintenance

Hey guys, i'm trying to make a relatively small (one/two tub) automated terrarium setup that I can leave for 10 days at a time unattended during the intial fruiting times. That is, I've done the math and an ultra sonic humidifier that can run for 3 days straight will run for 24 days if I run it 15 minutes every 2 hours. Can I run a coolmist vaporizer without the water for airexchange? or just get some filters and fans? Something that won't need to be refilled. I plan to purchase a humidity controller (will turn on/off humidifier when needed), so if I put water/perlite in the bottom and leave that setup, when it becomes less humid eventually I the humidifier should run and I ought to be able to get more days that way.

so really, just let me know if this sounds ok, specifically the coolmist without water or alternative methods for that.

Thanks

some people use an airstone or bubble wand and it helps air exchange and humidity.

Look up the Poor Mans Pod. Adding ultrasonic and coolmist humidifiers to a small setup is very unneccessary IMO. You can get the same, if not better results from the Poor Man's Pod and it's a hell of alot cheaper than buying humidifiers. All you need is a rubbermaid, air pump w/hoses,bubblewands and some perlite.

The PMP above has lava rock in it. Lava rock sucks! I switched over to perlite, which was much lighter and cleaner.

well the money is not a problem; I'd like to establish a method which I can later expand upon easily.

Still, if your grows are not very large, I would use the Poor man's pod. But if you were trying to make it so your humidifiers wouldn't out..You could get a rubbermaid container, fill it with water and put a hose from the bottom of that into the humidifier water chamber. That way, while the water was used, it would be replaced with water from the rubbermaid container.
