FOAF is trying something new.

1.He bought Reynol'd wrap oven bags yesterday (on sale because its after thanksgiving) and cut a hole in each one a little bigger than a silver dollar.

2.Then he used sealant-type adhesive to glue air filters from mycosupply.com on the front AND inside of the bag.

3.Then to make sure they would budge, he stapled the discs together (making it appear to be 1 thick disc) around the edges making sure that it was done OUTSIDE of the ring of sealant.

4.Then the substrate sealed in via the foodsaver thing on TV. The whole bag was then baked for an hour@250. Then innoculated with sterilized needle then cover hole with dict tape immediately.

Feedback anyone?

Nice idea! My only concern is the staple holes, perhaps seal them as well?

yeah, that was about my only concern as well. I will put a layer of sealant around the staples just to be safe. The bags hold A SHIT TON. I was mixing the alien substrate in a 40 gallon trash can (not all the way full) and it only took 5 bags to get it all with room to spare!
