You didn't answer backupward's question of what you inoculated with. Was it a spore syringe you used or an LC (liquid culture)? 1 week is REALLY fast for jars to be completely colonized using a spore syringe. Cobweb mold looks similar to mycelium and will usually take over a jar in that time frame. If you used a spore syringe to inoculate, I would say your jar is full of cobweb mold and not mycelium. :frown:

you should be able to tell the difference between cobweb and myc. the cobweb will be greyish in color and very whispy. myc will be a nice white color and either sort of fluffy or ropey looking. which is it?
that would be a very fast colonization rate from a multispore syringe unless some of the spores were already germinated in the syringe.
it is usually about 3 days or so for the first signs of germination from spore, so hmmm....cobweb is my guess at least on the b+.
if the lipa yai are colonizing slower at this point they may be ok, mmmm lipa yai are my favs too.
best of luck
