Is someone else labeling you, or are you labeling yourself....?
Some people that may read your old posts may be in a time of their POV that they might be able to closely relate to what you were feeling at the time.... It is not as much a label as it may be an external connection/synchronicity with someone else....
Of course it's about me labeling me. I said I already figured that out in the part about shifting self definitions around as I shift and change.
If someone else labels me from me in the past, I'll apply the now me to it. However, if someone replies to my old stuff because they are resonating with it, because I no longer am, I can not give a resonate reply. It's to out of sync for me. In a way, they wasted their time and wouldn;t have if they new the post was old. When I post stuff, I am good to go to reply to it for about 3 days. After that, I am cycled out of it and into a cycle.
Like I said, maybe it's just me.
If people resonate with and get something from my old stuff, that's cool an fine. If it is old to me, I won't be able to re-address it from the same place I was when I wrote it.
I see many take the time to make replies to people thinking, the post went up that day.
At least if someone does a bump, they should say, this is an old post. Some people do. You are courteous enough to do that tomcat.
I don't understand why they just can't make a new one out of the material they are making their reply to it with.
Whatever. Was just wondering if anyone could relate.

I understand your POV, I have changed a lot since I used to post all of the time, now I just usually read....
When I bump this thread in the future, perhaps you won't feel the way you do right now....? (and then you can make another thread about it...?)
I think it is most likely because of the "Related Threads" feature (as may have been already said).... Someone gets interested in let's say "UFO's", so they start reading all of the related threads, and something sparks participation based off of something said.... Sometimes it sparks more discussion, sometimes it fades away, again....
Do you think they should "lock" all threads after a certain amount of time....? That could be a solution....
Just talkin, not trying to stir anything up....

It definitely started happening more after the related threads feature came into play.
No, I don't want them to lock em up after a time. I just don't understand why horses beaten to death and left in the grave yard are revived and brought back to life. It's more of a common sense thing to me that if you are reading old stuff and want to bring something up for discussion, why not start a new post. Regulars involved in it or people who were here at the time already said what they had to say.
So why not start a new a fresh post.
Like you said, some times they get rejuvenated and more comes out of them.
I think I hit a low tolerance point today because there were at least 5 old ones bumped to the front page earlier today. I posted to help myself to understand why it bugged me so I could deal with it. Let it be. The forum has nothing to change. My look on it does and I already made those changes.
Maybe I will learn something from it about how to bring the dead back to life and it's a part of Christ consciousness shifting or something.

I think it is interesting to read my old posts. Sometimes they really impress me...other times they are quite embarrassing.

hehe, yes, it was meant to collect a specific theme to one thread, in the old days, hehe. Since this is not possible anymore, we should perhaps start another subforum called 'conclusions', where some a.i. or a moderator puts all conclusions from the discussion-board to a well sorted kind of walhalla...bring them to eternity !?
