If one were to use compost as a substrate in the pf tek method, would it be beneficial? I am told compost is great for shrooms. Would this substrate be good for amazonians? Does one use this substrate in casing aswell? If anyone has links to a compost casing tek please include it in the response.

You don't want to put compost in your casing layer. Some advanced users do it under very controlled conditions and it works, but for the most part you don't want to mess with it. PF-Tek is best left unaltered your first few times. Go with what it teaches you and you'll see where you have the options of adding compost. Experiment with a mixture of BRF and compost with vermiculite until you have a substrate with the same consistency as the PF tek that you've mad work. Anything with compost is, in my opinion, better. Learn hte PF tek then move to grains and bulk substrates.

If one has already done the PF tek method, then what should one consider a good mixture for fast colonization rates in pf jars when using compost?
