Having problems watching a movie
    #4674014 - 09/17/05 02:37 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

Just finished downloading a movie. All the files were rar'ed in two folders. One for each disc. I extracted all the files and got to the bin and cue. I either need to update my video codecs or something is wrong with the bin. Anyone know a realy complete codec pack I could download?

Anyone? I believe it's in svcd format. I tried downloading a codec for this but still no change.

Real helpful tool for (s)vcds
and
K-lite codec pack.

You can check the .bin with vcdgear and also do many types of conversions with it. I'd try extracting it and seeing what happens instead of installing a big codec pack because codec packs can fuck things up if you're not careful.

Also if you're using Windows Media Player...I would highly suggest something like VLC media player or Media Player Classic (which actually is included in the k-lite pack).

good luck.

Just rip the MPEGs out of the .bins with IsoBuster

I'm not really sure why people insist on downloading a million different codec packs.

All i have running on my machine is a basic WinXP load, with DivX player,VLC player, and GOM Player.

I've never had a single issue with any type of movie file.

Honestly, i'd try Googleing "GOM" or "GOM Player". it has a list of every possible type of video file, and it plays them all....i sware by this player.

(and you can check out the link below for all the FREE movie downloads you'd like  )

i don't understand why you would have multiple players.  K-Lite codec pack will make practically any video there is play in any video player.  In conjunction with VLC I have yet to find a single video I cannot play.

I have not seen a time where i needed DivX player, since they work just fine in VLC and even Windows media player if you install klite...and i never even heard of GOM, though i will check it out.

VLC plays everything i have ever thrown at it minus gay ass quicktime, which i just avoid anything in that format lol.

peace
