Peyote trip

I have just acquired a large amount of peyote plants and am curious what I need to do to have an awesome trip with it. Do I actually eat the cactus like san pedro or do I need to wait for it to bloom and eat the pink buttons? It's my first time with Peyote so I want to do it right.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Boil it in a tea or extract it. You could dry it out and grind it into a powder and encapsulate it. I believe that the indians would suck on the dried slices until they softened and chew it up. The taste is said to be much worse than san pedro or peruvian torch, but the indians believe that the taste will be as sweet as your soul. So if you are a good person the button will be sweet. Although, it was also noticed by people who observed a peyote ritual that all practitioners looked as if they had something horrible in their mouth.

If your plants are live and planted, you should use a sharp thin knife to slice off the top portion(what you eat) leaving the root to grow more buttons. If you have some san pedros growing you could graft the root upside down to them and they will eventually grow out as a new peyote plant.
