System of a Down

Hey guys. I just got back from the System of a Down concert at the
Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It was
awesome. Bad Acid Trip was a very strange opening act to say the
least, but I enjoyed them nonetheless. The Mars Volta is not my cup
of tea, but they were quite good as well. Even if I didn't enjoy
the opening acts, the guy behind me that kept yelling phrases such as
"your momma!" and "fuck the hippies!" kept me pretty entertained
throughout the show. System's set was awesome. I forgot how much I
liked them. They don't have the greatest musicians but I commend
their creativity.
Did anyone else go to that show or get tickets for future shows on
their current tour?

Bad Acid Trip sucked. The Mars Volta sucked, but a little less.
System of a Down rocked. They did extremely well!
I was nearly deaf in my left ear for 3 days after the concert. That's the last time I go to an indoor concert without earplugs!

My friend went to their show 2 nights ago and got backstage as well. She said they threw down hard for 2 hours nonstop, said it was awesome.
I'm not a huge fan anymore but I'm sure the live show is great.

That's awesomem that she got backstage. I would love that.
I kind of lost interest in them too over the years, but that show
may have renewed my love.

No wonder you had a bad acid trip. I started getting a bad trip when I heard them sober. Who knows what would happen when on acid.

The name of one of the opening bands was Bad Acid Trip.
I don't think anyone here actually tripped there.

I saw them at the Long Beach Arena on the 4th. It was a great show. Bad Acid Trip kinda made me laugh, and The Mars Volta was pretty good (although I've seen them 3 times now and they always extend their songs to be really long, and I became impatient for System to come out). System played very well, better than alot of their live stuff I've seen.

I saw System here in Phoenix Simply awesome...and they are all great musicians...just not the conventional sort. I was NOT a mars volta fan before that show...the show was simply amazing though I thought. Big fan of theirs now.

A great venue. If I had known The Mars Volta was coming here, I might have went to CAA for the SOAD show.
