What is this "colt 45"?

Some black guys were trying to sell me weed earlier today. I assume they were talking about weed when they kept asking me if I'd ever "seen a Colt 45"? I didn't know WTF they were talking about. I figured it was either a gun, the beer, or some weed thing I'd never heard of. Anyone?

I dunno, it was a busy night on campus, but one of the guys was saying something like, "Yo, we ain't gonna jump you." I just walked off (they wanted a smoke and I refused) and they were like, "Yo man... Yo man."
