Whole or Cut?

Was just wondering if whole cakes are better than cut or crunbled cakes. It seems to me that if you cut them it would want to fix it's self instead of growing into the casing first. Does this make sense?-Any comments are appreciated-thanks

im assuming you are going to case...
take half your jars and keep them whole, crumble the other half around the whole cakes filling all the crevices between.

theroetically you are correct, but mycelium recovers fast after you birth.
