Hey everyone, jus a quick question. I read somthing about cutting PF cakes in half to possibly double the yeild, but I cant find anything about it. Is this a good idea? Witch way would they be cut, like 2 disks or into D shapes?

discs my friend, discs... but from what i understand, you usually would cut a colonized jar in half simply to make an even layer of substrate for casing purposes... but ill leave the real answering to the pros

Bad idea.
When you cut the cake in half, you are also cutting away half of the nutrients of the cake. Cutting it in half does not guarentee a bigger yield. The other half of the cake may not grow anything.
When you cut half of the nutes away, even if you do get growth on both cakes, you will usually get some really small mushrooms due to the lack of nutes. This could also affect potency.
Stick to keeping it as a whole cake. That way you will get a nice yield, with normal sized mushies.
