i was in a field the other day and came across a cow pattie covered in mycellium with about 30 tiny little guys just starting to grow, i was wondering if i could just take the cow patty back to my house put it in my yard (of course my yard has a ditch running right along the tree line which i have heard is perfect) or if i remove it from the field will anything happen to the shrooms?

I have heard of people doing this. I am not sure exactly what needs to be done, but it will work under the right circumstances.

you should put it in a fishtank, 1. put some of those perlite humidity containing rocks (thanx ryan xx3ouncexx for perlite rock idea) inside of the fishtank with water obvisouly 2. soak the patty with some store bought pure water (no chemicals). 4. cover with some plastic, and air it out a few times a day.
:-)
or lump the shit in your back yard and wait for the environment to do it. but itll yeild harder the perlite fishtank way
good luck

I put mine in the flower bed and when it rains (or I use a drip hose when it's humid), POOF!

I take home poo all of the time to use in my garden. Sometimes strange things happen.
I wish they all did this.

Yea I nabbed some poo today from the field and wanted to get it growing, was thinking I'd throw it in a field behind my house or by the ditch, area, throw some Black Kow manure under it and on top along with some saran wrap to cover it, does this sound like it might work or do I need to take a few more steps?

i heard about growing shrooms with cow manure.
I saw some cow manure near my school's farm, and i waited about 1 month then i came back and the cow manure was still there(or the original one cleaned up and i just saw a new one)but i didn't see any shrooms growing.
How long does it take for shrooms to grow on cow manure?
What's the best place i can put cow manure in my backyard for the shrooms to grow?
Thanks

Its important to incubate your cow poo for at least a week in a warm place, to give the shrooms time to start growing. The best place to put it is under your pillow. Towards the end of the week there will be hundreds of mushrooms starting to grow.

pee a little bit on it every morning also. the nutrients in your pee combine with the poo and form super potent mushies. remember not TOO much pee, but large amounts can be good in some cases (such as a cold house, about 68 degrees or lower). good luck dude! post some pics of those crucial boomers once they grow

NO! The pillow pee method works the best, ive been using it for years and everybody around says i have the most potent shrooms theyve ever eaten. another tip to remember: if your going to use this method you want the absolute freshest manure you can find. the fresher, the better
