They almost look like a mushroom known as the Jackolantern mushroom. Jackolanterns glow when you put them in the dark, some weird bioluminesence(sp?). If those guys glow in the dark... thats what ya have.
Peace out,

They are Gyms, not sure about exact genus...most likely junionous sp? or a hybrid of BLG, found tonnes this year, should have yellowish flesh and a very disticnt but nice smell of anise/wood. They are pretty trippy as well, just need a good portion 5-15 grams.
Nice find...cheers

Some of 'em seem to have light greenish or bluish overtone areas on the cap.Especially in the last pic.Did you notice this,or is it just a pigment of my imagination?

Your not seeing things doo, there were bluish blotches on most of these. This is what orignally drew my attention. I wish that MJ would look at this thread and give me and ID. I got most of my ID info for this mushroom off his webpage and he said that his examples of Gymn Luteofolius were gathered at deception pass state park which is but a few miles from where these were gathered.

Cardboard, I am not sure about the species.
Do not listen to SThomas.
He has no idea of what he speaks. Here is his quote.
"They are Gyms, not sure about exact genus...most likely junionous sp?
or a hybrid of BLG, found tonnes this year."
Well Mr. SThomas, the Genus is Gymnopilus.
and Mr. SThomas says he is not really sure what the genus is.
Well Mr. SThomas should have said he is not sure what the species is.
Very strange. He should have said he was not sure what the species was.
Read my comment to your question in the other forum.
The forum where you asked me to id these specimens.
My computer is still f----- up and only half of each image of yours,
opened up for me on my screen so I could not see everything in the images you posted.
But go to the other thread where you asked me to id this for you.
I gave you some info there to help in your identification.
And the Big Laughing Gym whiich SThomas talked about grows on dead tree stumps. IT also happens to be the most bitterest tasting mushroom ever put into someones mouth. Makes you pucker up for about 1/2 an hour. Disgusting tatse and is usually avoided as other better species are more common than this one.
There are now 14 known species of psychoactive Gyms around the world.
It was known as Gymnopilus spectabilis.
But now it is known as G. junonius.

Cardboard,I was wondering if you made any prints of this species. If you did,and have any extra,I'd like to get one.As large as those caps are, just a part of a print would suffice.

Sorry disregard the genus/species mix-up. Was at a funeral just before I wrote that post. I meant species. I may not know my psilocybes all that well as I live in the north east, and we only have a few species up here...but we have got a lot of Gyms...different species and those are Gyms...it seems that mycologists the world over argue about species and genus names, most references I have read up on still use spectabilis, and the pics of spectabilis and junionus that I have seen vary. I have also found another one that is similar to them both, but smaller....maybe hybridus, but not real sure...I just know they are gyms...smell, taste, euphoric, look, habitat etc...just my two bits
cheers
