Here's whats gotta be one of the coolest mushroom deformities I've seen..

Anybody know what causes that?
I know its a pretty crummy quality photo, but yes, that is a set of gills protruding from the outside of the cap. It started out as a small white spot on the pin, and eventually grew into that.

No ideas on causes? I would have tried making a print from the top end of it, but the entire flush was sporeless. ???

Looks sweet! No ideas on the genetic cap-fuck though. Maybe you could have sang to it during it's pin stage.

I have a shroom that from the get go half the cap flipped up as a pin and now is 10 times its size with it still growing like this. I am gonna let it get as big as I can and then I will post a pic to show it off. Oh its B+ what strain is yours?

I know Skab - that is Mexican Cubensis strain... the deformitys in the link I posted/ my avatar is PF. anyone else had these malform / deformations?

- P.S.... 'workman' says that most likely skab's mushroom has rosecomb...or slight rosecomb....which will cause the cap to be inside out. etc.

but that shouldnt effect the edibility :smile:
