We all want to believe in the super natural, the implssible
    #4661735 - 09/14/05 09:05 PM (11 years, 2 months ago)

When we are young, children, we are told fantastic stories of pricnesses who kissed frogs, who turned into princes. we are told of a lifelike bunny that comes and brings us presents on easter.
we are told of santa clause that brings us gifts on christmas if we are good, always being told that he is waatching down on us making a lst of who is good and who is bad.
and we are told of God who watches over us and judges us and takes care of us in the after life if we are good.

oddly enough god and santa seem to be very close in concept.

as we grow we are told that the prince and princess were fairy tales, that santa wasnt really real nor was the easterbunny.

what if god came to be as just another fairy tale? what if some how thousands of years ago parents decided that it gave such a wonderful feling to their children that they decided not to tell them it was a story. Somehow along the years it turned from story to fact?

"in times of widespread chaos and confusion, it has been the duty of more advanced human beings - artists, scientists, clowns, and philosophers - to create order. In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption"

"People do it every day, they talk to themselves ... they see themselves as they'd like to be, they don't have the courage you have, to just run with it."

what if God is simply one of the words used to describe the one reality which is ever existing?

That is something else. Trouble is most people have trouble not picturing Dog with a human personality and motives. That's why I use words like Tao. It's much harder to confuse it with human value systems.

There is no supernatural, only natural. How can something not be natural if it exists within the Universe?

No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

I've always thought Santa was more plausible than God. God requires many more leaps of faith than Santa ever would.

So are you saying you might believe in Santa? :santaclaus: Seeing as we have this gremlin, he might be real.

That's um... interesting..
I hate when people put 'god' and 'religion' side by side.

When in fact, religion is the anti-christ, or the anti- spirit.
Once you write down the way a deer prances through the woods, the way the trees blow the tooth pick pines like toys, or the way you feel when you get that tingly electrical pulse through your body when you 'feel ancient', it becomes the anti-theorem of whatever it was.

Based on that statement, once you write down the story of god, it becomes just another fallacy.

And not only was it written down, it's been changed beyond belief. So much so that if you told a modern day Christian what the bible REALLY said when it was written( and who knows this?) they would indeed be faithless.

'god' is when you breathe. Is that real or not?

I'm not sure what that sign means... For the Roman gladiator, despite popular belief, the thumb up sign means shove a sword into their neck..
So by that I'm taken back. Just like when someone shoots me a glance in a room and I don't know how to read it. I just feel it. I just try and feel what's around me.

And hardly correlating that to the original topic, I don' think Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy are bad ideas.. because once a child overcomes those illusions, a parent can know they are past trust on all levels. All levels of total mind control by a dual or singular input. Basically what Hitler had in mind.
And when they refuse to fear god, like parents want for a healthy child, it makes them worry.... much as my parents worry for me. As most parents worry when their child starts to think for themselves....

When you start talking about facts and fiction, zippoz, you get into murky waters. I'll let my fate decide my facts and my mind decide what's fiction. And this is where I get into trouble
