If you do agar work it is possible, but you are going to have to isolate the contams from mycelium.

I have heard of people doing it before by rehydrating it with water for awhile, then dipping it into peroxide. It might work and would be worth a shot.

You can also take a scalpel and scrape gills for spores, I can almost Guarantee contamination from either way, I would only do it on agar.

Dude. Take $70, even if you have to borrow it. Go to Wally World and buy this dremel,

Make sure you get the one with the hole cutting attachment.

Take it home. Use it to cut your holes,

You will want to take a srap piece of plywood or something and use as a template to set your rubbermaid on when you cut the holes. The way this thing works is you put a small endmill in the dremel. You attach the hole attachment. Basically a ruler with a 1/4" stud that slides along the ruler. You slide it to the mark for your hole size. Tighten it down. You need a 1/4" start hole in the center of the circle you're going to cut. I would reccommend making some test cuts in your scrape rubbermaid to fine tune the size. I used a piece of wood to get sizes right. Once I got a size right, for like say 4" PVC piping, I would go to a fresh piece of wood and cut a circle. I use this as a template, you set it under the plastic tub, line up the start holes, put in the dremel and spin it around and cut. If you don't use a guide, as you cut the circle, the center starts to wobble the more you cut and your circle gets pretty ugly. I know, lol.

Use it for the weekend , then return it for your money. Or keep it a while and build some things , I think you have 90 days on that type of item.

And don't worry about breaking it. That's the best excuse for returning something. If they ask you if you want to exchange it, say nope, if it broke once, it might break again. Think I'll try Home Depot for a little heavier dutier tool, lol.

Take advantage of Wally Worlds return policy.

If, for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, we will GLADLY refund your money within 90 days( 30 days on some items) with receipt.

Peace,Love,Happiness and Harmony.
