 good beginning strain?

I was thinking B+, everyone says thats a good place to start. Though i havent read at all on the potentcy of it. Any one know who it ranks? Or if there is a better strain to start with?

I went with golden teacher for my first strain. They're doing nicely, pics will be up soon hopefully. But I chose them cause of the reputation and the feeling i got from using them. B+ is a common it seems for starters, as is GT, and there are a few others. Good luck man!

yea, i was reading through spores101, but they dont give descriptions of "effects", does golden teacher grow pretty easy, I need something durable, cuase its going to be done covertly, in a closet or something

B+ is a good strain to start with. Hearty strain, resistant to a fair amount of screw-ups. The potency is good, but its a wee bit less than most strains. Still a good strain though.

Throw darts and pick a strain. Most cubes are about the same regardless of what their description says on a website. Yes some may be more visual and some may be more body high, but overall they are about the same IMO. The key to getting the most potency out of any cube is the substrate. H/poo grown shrooms will blow away PF tek grown shrooms in potency any day, regardless of the strain. B+ is good. You will most likely try many, many strains if you really get into this hobby anyway.

The Koh Samui SS is a lot of fun to work with when you're first getting started...

don't mean to hijack but i'm starting with the Pf Classic...i'll keep my log updated..i was in the same boat you were, i wasnt getting any real clear answers...so i just read through descriptions and picked one. this was one of about 6 different ones i was considering..if all goes well and i start seeing nice pins and stuff..im going to purchase atleast another 5 or 6 strains.

I'm working on my first grow right now, and I read through a lot of posts about which is a really friendly strain for new growers. I settled on B+ because it had a rep for being forgiving and a hardy strain. Rather than work on speed, potency, yield, etc... I'd rather learn the basics with a strain I can afford to make a few mistakes with and learn proper methods, then improve on them, but that's just my $.02

I grew Lipa Yai my first time - very potent, took 20 grams wet and it blew my socks off all night long. A cube is a cube is a cube is the general philosophy however.

I started with Thai Pink Buffaloes. Very fast colonizer. Thats what I continue to use today because I can't get spores legally.

i went with Brazilians my 1st try and had 0 contams!potency was decent as well!Im with the cambodians now and 1 jar went bad

Some of my favorites are Lipa Yai, Mazatepec, Texans, and B+. I've never found one strain easier then another though, at least in my experience so far.
