methods to increase humidity

i got a cup of water with a fish tank air pump in it. no air stone. what im fixing to do is soak Corn Cob Litter in water and layer it. as if im trying to fruit but just for incubation.

sorry not sure what your asking.. but it would be better to get a lil airstone, just like the 1" stone that slips on the end of your hose.

you are using the cob litter to create humidity? if so, i think that would be a bad idea, all kinds of contams will grow on that stuff.
there is also no need for humidity during incubation, just for fruiting.

oh really? i thought you were suppose to create humidity and heat during incubation too. i couldn't hurt could it. Im not gonna do the corn cob thing anymore.

Definitely get rid of the corn cob :smile:

You can use the bubble stone, you can mist it with a water bottle, or try  one of these.

just heat to 82-86F no extra humidity is needed, you should have plenty in your jars that you knocked up.

no need for the humidity during colonization just keep your temps at around 82-85, thats it.
well creating too much humidity during colonization could present problems, i say could depending on how high you let it get. cause i believe if you saturated the air in the incubator the jars could gain water and not colonize very well. could be wrong....
