Can someone give me some suggestions on music to listen to while tripping? Im not talking about shpongle, ozric tentacles, the doors, ect. I mean music that is deep and really makes you think like eyedea, and immortal technique. I have only listed to eyedea when i was coming up and it was amazing. Has anyone listed to anything like that while tripping? Is it to depressing?
If you have not listened to eyedea or immortal technique i suggest you d/l some of there stuff. They are rappers, but they don't rap about being gangsta, rich, having hoes, ect.

Immortal Technique - Dance With the Devil
Although it may freak you out really bad for the rest of the trip. All in how you look at it.

that song is insane, i don't think i could listen to that while tripping, i cringe every time i listen to it completely sober. It might be interesting to see what kind of trip it turns into, you never know. Maybe listening to a song that deep and full of emotion while take you somewhere deep, and to have an emotional trip. I am actully thinking about trying it. I have never had a bad trip so maybe i shouldn't mess around with that.
Anyone ever done that before?

Definitly Pink floyd my favorite is the dark side of the moon it is so perfect if you put it on loop or repeat everything flows and you dont even know what number track you are on and you dont care.

DJ Shadow...any and all DJ Shadow.
Try Illogic - album Celestial Clockwork or some RJD2 or maybe some AesopRock.

I love Pink Floyd, RJD2 and stuff but i am looking for the music that when you listen to it makes you think lyrically. Like Eyedea's step by step, or how much do you pay. Aesop Rock is great but the only problem is you can't understand what he is saying, deffintly awesome for tripping though.

well, it doesn't have any lyrics, but if youre into spiritual and tribal typed music, check out Stephan Mikes. I listened an album of his called The Good, The Bad, and The Karmic on my last mushroom trip, and it had me captivated from start to finish.

Tool (recommend Lateralus) - Come on, its tool...this band's life revolves around mushrooms and psychadelics. Theyre music goes to new levels while tripping. Math patterns become aparent.
Devin Townsend (especially Infinity) - This guy is the master of production. He has choirs of himself singing behind his own main vocals...Trained by Steve Vai, so you know he's talented. Layer upon layer upon layer...you'd swear you've heard these riffs in your infancy.
Polyphonic Spree - Want to feel happy as hell? With overly cheesy lyrics and amazing, multi-choired, multi-layered music, combined with pretty trippy sound effects, Polyphonic spree is a superb choice.
Sweet Trip - Well, their name says it all. Very soothing and dreamy, meanwhile keeping a beat that will keep your head slowly bobbing.
Sphongle - Hey, its sphongle...tribal techno...alot of people love these guys.
M83(before the dawn heals us) - Gloriously epic...Like a celestial rollercoaster ride.
Dredg - Amazingly talented and strange. These guys wrote their second cd, El Cielo, entirely isolated in the desert, writing much of their music under the influence of mescaline.
Comets on Fire - Psychadelic 70's rock, yet made a few years ago, so theyre still releasing cds.
Godspeed you Black Emperor - Very slow, but extremely rewarding. Most songs clock in at over 20 minutes, but when you get to the end...you are mostly certainly not the same person you began as.
Air - Loungey and spacey. Very good for coming up and bringing you into a trip nice and calmly. They perfectly hit the word 'relaxed' on the head.
All are extremely amazing tripping. I prefer music with as many layers as possible (while generally avoiding techno) and much of this is very awesome sober, but tripping brings it all into a new world (as usual).
