What about bread?
    #4651964 - 09/12/05 09:32 PM (11 years, 2 months ago)

Today I cut 6 circles of wheatberry bread, added a little vermiculite on top, and semi sterilized for 15 minutes with no aluminum foil to increase moisture content. This is all in a 1/2 pint jar. Aluminum foil was then placed over the top and "sterilized" for another hour. This will be inoculated tomorrow. My thoughts were thus: bread grows fungus all the time. Logically, it follows that mushrooms would also do well thereupon. I already have one inoculated piece of bread in a terrarium, with heavy mycelium, but no pinning yet. Bets on the success of the "bread-tek"? Bulletins as events warrant.
