will slight temperature change affect growth
    #4650010 - 09/12/05 11:55 AM (18 years, 6 months ago)

I want to grow in my room, but i have a constant temperature change, as i only run my air conditioner at night. Will the temp change from 85 to 75 for a few hours make a difference with growth.

80 is not a bad temp at all, but to answer your question...yes it will cause growth problems if your at a constant change from 80 to 60 and so forth...your shit will get fucked up in the process of colonization.

damn...is there any suggestions for a cooling system? I live in St. Croix in the US virgin islands so power is really expensive. I can only afford to run an a/c unit at night. How much will a humidifier cool the terrarium, if at all?

You could try putting some ice in the chamber during the times it gets above 80. It sounds like it might work. Then when it all melts it would be night.

Worth a shot if you cant figure anything else to do.

bottles of frozen water. use as many as you need, refreeze them at night. make sure to leave the cap on in the FC, and leave the cap off in the freezer =)

Bottles of frozen water sounds like a much better idea than ice.

good thinking.
