Spores and light exposure
    #4651192 - 09/12/05 04:35 PM (18 years, 7 months ago)

Can spores in syringes withstand a small amount of light each day? My syringes have been kept relatively cold, but unfortunately, everytime I throw some more ice in my little syringe bath (syringes double bagged in ziplocks and taped to bottom of rubbermaid with ice water--with the rubbermaid lid on and a cardboard box completely covering the rubbermaid) they get a small dose of room light for about 5 seconds. I feel like I'm being paranoid, but I just don't know how vulnerable they are...

You don't need to put them in an ice bath they will hold for several months at room temp
