NDD - Nature Deficient Disorder
    #4650064 - 09/12/05 02:08 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

I was watching the news one day in early June, when this thing came on about a new disorder. It is called Nature Dificient Disorder, and they are saying that alot of children (& I believe adults), suffer from this which causes all kinds of problems. It is caused by not being out in nature without concrete and buildings and stuff around.

Well DUH!!! I can only speak from my own exprience, but when I am not outside I am not in touch with myself. When I am not in touch with myself, I am not the human being I was meant to be. Being inside without nature in our lives is NOT NATURAL. We were not meant to be so separated from nature, which IMHO leads to depression, less self awareness, less imagination, less challenges to our senses etc.

Every time I am in the woods, forest, desert, ski slopes etc, I have spiritual connectedness, calmness and hope.

Just thought I would get on my soap box for a while, and let you know about our kid's future diagnosis.

See you outside!

Hehe, I know alot of people who would have a clinically severe case of that!
