I fucking love it. I just got back from the Yankees/Red Sox game at Yankee Stadium, where we won it 1-0 and it was awesome. A beautiful Sunday afternoon, 80 degrees and breezy, and an intense pitchers' duel...a perfect day as far as I'm concerned.

I'm from Chicago, raised a rabid White Sox fan, and even *I* will be surprised if the White Sox win even ONE playoff game, much less a series.

I have a lot of confidence in them, especially since our pitching is tightening up a bit. We have the easiest schedule (though at this time of year, all the games count so much not even the easy teams are easy) out of all the other contenders (sox, cleveland, oakland). Though Tampa Bay continually beats us.

TB winning is a bad sign... I still think Cleveland has the upper hand now. It'll be a battle for the wild card, stupid White Sox ruined the AL Central

We have an AWFUL record against Tampa Bay this season. They just picked up 2 out of 3 from us earlier in the week and we face them @ TB starting Tuesday. After that it's just Toronto, Baltimore, Toronto, and then the Sox - we're still gunning for the division.

I was raised a Sox fan also.....I just hope we don't end up with Oakland in the first round. We can't beat that team for anything. I think any other team and we've got a good shot to win. Sure there have been a lot of problems lately, but there has also been a lot of injuries. A lot of guys are hurting and not able to play their best because of it. Luckily, they are playing a lot of AAA people and giving the regulars some time to rest and get healthy.

dominating the Twins?? Dominating everyone before the All-star break... since then .500 baseball will carry them into the playoffs well rested for an attempt at winning something. Not that I think they will get past the first round, but they aren't banged up like some other teams
