ok i need someone to make me a quick excel worksheet.
http://www.partypoker.com/games/tournaments/multi_table.html
under the multi table tournament payouts part. is there anyway you can make a work sheet that allows me to enter in the number of tables and the amount to be broken up into the % they have on there?

dude, do it yourself.
Excel is uber easy. I'm the Excel Guru.
I'd do it for you, but I don't have any office applications on this computer.
Are you having a problem with writing a formula for this? If so I can tell you what formula to use.

I don't have Excel on this computer.
I have some other spreadsheet program, but it won't save as excel and the formulas are slightly different.

ooohhh
actually I spoke too soon, thi one CAN sae a spreadsheet as excel.
Are you wanting to be able to enter say the dollar amount that is to be divided up then have the spreadsheet automatically figure out what the winnings will be for each place?

never fucking mind
this quattro is a fucking peice of shit. I'm trying to enter like 10-29 for the places and it keeps showing up as -19. In Excel it won't do the math unless you put and equal sign at the beginning of the cell. THEN when I try to get around it by saying '10 thru 29' I get 'syntax error' and the whole thing crashes.

Really, all you need to do is designate a cell where you enter the money amount, say cell A2. Then when you're making the actual chart, in the percentage columns you need to put "=A2 * .5" for say 50% and then "=A2 * .3" for 30% ect, ect
then all you need to do is enter the dollar amount and it will auto-calculate for you.
You can go further and make like a 'for instance' type thing where you can enter the number of seats and then it'll only figure that seat column, but this is good enough right here.

 didnt understand one word of that. i havent used excel since highschool and i have never done anything like you just said....

She's saying that in the cell where you want the calculations to show, type =A2*.5 and that will calculate the total in cell A2 times by .5 (which is 50%) and if you want it to display as a percentage, just change the format of that cell to 'percentage' instead of 'number'.

It won't even let me say 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc... and when I change it to 'text only' it puts a fucking + in front of everything! This is SO INFURIATING!

K, open excel and put in all the information you want in the spreadsheet, the headings, etc. That will take a bit. We'll leave the formulas for the end.
