I don't understand what's so unscientific of praying, mantras or meditation. These are all based on the means of achieving something ?concentration.

I wouldn't classify those acts as being scientific or unscientific, they are simply methods of getting closer to the non-dualistic Self.

I think the manner in which one applies and carries out the process is what will determine if it is scientific or unscientific.
Unless, of course, the implied question he is presenting is whether or not this list is based in science.
Either way, it depends on the specifics of the practice and what the practice is aiming to achieve. The only trait I can think of of any of these that could undergo objective scrutiny is perhaps using meditation to develop one's ability to focus, or traits that involve bringing oneself into a specific state of mind that is represented by a specific brain wave or function that can be observed, etc.
Even then, that isn't the extent of whether or not any of these approaches are scientific or are based in science, simply the extent of objective testability..
 Peace.
