right where it belongs

nine inch nails - right where it belongs

see the animal in it's cage that you built
are you sure what side you're on?
better not look him too closely in the eye
are you sure what side of the glass you are on?
see the safety of the life you have built
everything where it belongs
feel the hollowness inside of your heart
and it's all...
right where it belongs

what if everything around you
isn't quite as it seems?
what if all the world you think you know
is an elaborate dream
and if you look at your reflection
is it all you want to be?
what if you could look right through the cracks
would you find yourself...
find yourself afraid to see?

what if all the world's inside your heart
just creations of your own
your devils and your gods
all the living and the dead
and you really are alone
you can live in this llusion
you can choose to believe
you keep looking but you can't find the words
are you hiding in the dreams?

what if everything around you
isn't quite as it seems?
what if all the world you think you used to know
is an elaborate dream?
and if you look at your reflection
is it all you want to be?
what if you could look right through the cracks
would you find yourself...
find yourself afraid to see?

I like his new stuff!!

So do I. Most of the people I've talked with don't really like it, but I'm not sure why.

There are a couple of songs from his new album that I don't particularly like, such as All the Love in the World...unless I'm misinterpreting it he sounds almost greedy...unless he's mocking an attitude?

That song is my favorite one on the CD though

Did you go see their new tour anyone? I have tickets for South Florida in late Oct. Can't wait.

I saw them in Germany earlier this summer, and it kicked ass. I think it's the best incarnation of the live band that he's had yet.

The new album is OK, but it further proves to me that he's past his creative prime. The lyrics were so much more original and vivid on Broken and TDS. The new stuff just doesn't have the same emotional impact.

Yes I like Pretty Hate Machine, Broken and TDS alot more then the new album. But they still play a good mix of old and new at their shows as far as I have heard so thats cool.
