In need of some help....

Well, my green house isnt working as planned not enough humidity nor temps low enough... so i went pmp... my question is. when i started my casing in the green house i had mycelium growth standing straight up out of the casing here is some pics ... if my casing is drying out am i done for?????? or since i switched to pmp with correct temps and humidity do i still have a chance... cause the mycelium is not towering like in the pics any more... should i mist?

wait.. those are old pics.. im just using them as an example .. cause now the casing is parting from the aluminum tray and the mycelium that broke through looks like it is drying out...

does anyone know once the casing starts to pull away from the tray it is in is it a failure?

Just mist it and dont mess with it ...its normal for it to pull away

When the casing shrinks from the sides, that is a sign that it is losing moisture. This is a natural thing to see during and after fruiting. Unless it's bone dry, it should still pin, as long as you grab a spray bottle and moist the casing layer to the point where it is nearly saturated (not too much, now). Keep up the air exchange (important), keep up the humidity and occassional spraying as the casing layer begins to dry out again, and you should be ok. Expect some shrooms growing out from the sides, because the sides are exposed to light. Once the casing starts to pin, slow down or stop the misting--the shrooms should have all the moisture they need.
Frankly, I've never seen mycelium sticking straight up like that--(a result of the conditions you described, no doubt.) So your results will of course be different than if you would have started with the method you're using now. Well, now you know! Start inoculating and incubating the next batch, if you haven't already.

if there is mycelium on the top layer of the casing that broke through is that okay to mist now or do i not mist once mycelium is broken through????
