I guess giving people lots and lots of free unchecked money isn't the way to go. Oh well, it's just money coming out of the MagicHole that the Federal Government finds money comes from. Not like we have to pay for it.

you know whats funny that you mentioned that its "unchecked"
My younger sister works at Lids a hat store in the mall.
A gentleman came in there this afternoon and bought 10-11 hats about 22$ a piece with his $2,000 debit card.
yep... thats going to great use .. so glad we gave it to them....

They only gave out 16 million in debit cards. Not that much really compared to the 60 billion going toward relief. The real question is not whether or not giving these people money is a good idea, because it is. No, the real question is, where the fuck is the rest of that money going?
I really can't see how anyone could be opposed to this. Most of these people lost everything, including their jobs, so what the fuck? How can you be expected to get back on your feet when you're flat broke and homeless? Some will spend away their money on dumb shit like idiots, but alot of people really need it and will use it wisely. 2000 dollars is enough to get food, clothing, and lodging for a month or two. The smart people will hopefully get jobs and the rest who spent their money on hats and playstation games will be screwed.
And besides, they're still giving the money to people. They are just doing it by check instead of debit cards because of logistical issues. So it looks like giving the people money is, infact, still the way to go.

Here in San Antonio someone was handing out thousands of dollars 20's and they were walking down the road to the glen and buying rocks from my friends neighbor.
