Well, I think it could help their personalities.

They could actually work on their personalities to develop friendships, instead of having their style of clothes do it for them.

But, thats just my opinion...

True.

The less fortunate kids won't have to worry about buying the "in" fashion.

That way, everyone is school is of pretty much equal status.

when i went to school i hadda wear uniforms and in some ways it was good, in others really bad. I couldn't tell just from looking at someone if they were into the same stuff as me like biking or some music. But, then you dont have to worry about what you wore or how u looked, everyone looked the same and it was some comfortable clothes too.

Elementary, I don't care one way or another. However I would have been rather sad to have gone to highschool if the girls didn't have the right to dress like whores lol.

Until they go home and have to change into their poor people clothes.

other than the blandness once the kids adjust to it, I think uniforms are great, I wish my old school had gone to uniforms. We had the kids whose parents made around a mil a year and those of us, myself included, whose parents were struggling to make it month to month.

Teaching kids about rich and poor is fundamental. To try and hide it and pretend everyone is equal is about as nurturing as telling your child that magical entities such as the Easter Bunny and Santa exist.
Let the children that are poor know it from the beginning so they can work hard to change it. Don't wait until they are out of school to introduce them to the real world social structure.
