Hey...k here is the scenario. I have 4 jars..of water and malt extract. I pressure cooked and all that stuff...and innocualted all for using the oven tek. Its been 9 days since innoc. and two of the jars, are still the same yellowish brown color they started out as..with no visible growth. The other two are alot darker..
I should mention that at the bottom of the jars is some sedimnet, I guess maybe I used too much malt extract, or something like that...so in all jars there is this sediment that has settled at the bottom. With the two darker jars, when I look at the sedimnet area at the bottom, I can see what looks like little balls of whiteish stoff growing on the sediment. Isn't there supposed to be little white mycelium balls at the top of the liquid. Or are my two jars contam'd? Please help me out if you know. Thanks..
trip

The white balls are the mycillium\
What temp you at? Lower temps mean more time. I have my frist 2 jars in my computer at 85F, they're liek a week old. The honey one had a fair bit of growth, dextrose has a little.
Be patient
