Where can I get a good scale to weigh out drugs? I need a cheap one that can weigh in 1mg increments.

.1 g scales can weigh down to 100 mg.'s. this guy's looking for one that can weigh down to 1 mg.

I used a 0.001 g scale for a lab this year. It was so senstive it was shielded from the air and we had to hold specimens with rubber gloves because the weight of fingerprints would ruin data. These things cost hundreds of dollars...just to calibrate them. I somehow doubt you can find a cheap scale that sensitive. 0.001 g is VERY small.

What you're looking for is called a jeweler's scale. Plug it into your favorite search engine.

It measures the carat, or out to .0002g. It also fluctuates nicely when you're inbetween say .0002 and .0004g so that you can roughly estimate you'd be taking 3 mg give or take half a milligram either way.

You should be able to score one in the $300-$400 range -- maybe cheaper on E-bay. Happy hunting!
