quinoa flour

does anyone have experience with quinoa? i have a bunch of quinoa mixed with brown rice(uncooked) and am wondering about grinding the mix into flour. also, i read a tek about inoculating the water for your cakes and sterilizing everything before mixing and its sounds good, but the rice flour doesn't cook like it would in a pressure cooker, does it matter if your rice is cooked, even if it's whole(not flour)?

Quinoa has a unique amino-acid profile for a grain, and it's an important ingredient in the Alien Substrate Tek. I should think flour from ground brown rice and quinoa would provide excellent nutrition for growing cubes, better than brown rice alone. Mixing of water, rice flour, and vermiculite for cakes is done before PC'ing not after.

I've considered adding quinoa to rye berries for the extra tryptophan that might be expected to increase potency. But I grow on grain now instead of BRF cakes. They seem to colonize faster with fewer problems, and the grain breaks up easily for spawning in h poo.

the one on the left is quinoa flour, the one on the right brown rice flour.

it works great - dunno why it's not mentioned more often. it's cheap and works nicely. as a whole grain it also works, but nobody bothers cos so does cheaper stuff like rye or birdseed (millet etc).
