Brand New!
    #462717 - 11/18/01 08:09 PM (22 years, 10 months ago)

All right, I've never had mushrooms before, but I figure growing them would be a good thing to do for a couple reasons:
1) I know exactly what i'm getting.
2) Its gonna cost me roughly the same whether I buy some, or grow some, but growing gives me more...
any comments on this?

i think it is more of a hobby than a way to get cheep drugs.

I do it for the challenge, and the thrill of success.

Cheep drugs? Sheep drugs maybe? Ketamine, the veterinary anaesthetic, do they use it on Sheep?

1 - always a bloody good reason for safety (know what you're getting)

2 - the best reason i think - personal satisfaction and parental pride!

Yes yes, don't buy what you can grow.

Also, this "hobby" and this board have taken more of my time, than all my school work put together.
I figure with all the skills i'm developing, I might as well just transfer to a school that has majors in mycology. Because i could def see doing this for a while.
Starting a farm, growing inactive shrooms for $

Im just starting this whole expiriment with "cheep" drugs, and i have to say it really interests me more than anything ive done, i also think going to school for micology is possible now and ive only begun!

1. Definitely True.
2. Definitely False. It's NOT gonna cost your roughly the same whether you buy or grow. Buying is A LOT more. Once you get going, and get self sufficient, the only ongoing costs are a few low dollar items. Ounce for ounce, if you buy you KEEP paying. If you grow, it's almost free product.

Just one guys' opinion.
