Yeah, i've seen those UV light sterilizers at the Hair dresser my mom used to bring me to when i was little.
I don't know much about them, what do you know?

they are used in marine aquaria, as well as a wide variety of other applications..
it would be very expensive for our uses (too large an area) and the success rate would be much reduced, as a majority of our substrate resides away from the surface..
but its a good idea, never stop thinking..
