do you have a closet you could put it in? as long as your going to be home during it all, id just pop it in the closet until the plumber is gone.

Go get a new knob at a hardware store that has a lock built in.  It'll run you $4 or so and only you have the key

box it up.  do what you gotta do.  i wouldn't change the locks because your landlord will get suspicious.  call in from work saying your sick.  Guard the fort!  peace :syringe: :mushroom2:

He's not changing the locks on his apartment, only on his closet door.
And yes, I recommend buying a door with a lock on it, or putting on a simple padlock.

I'd take it somewhere else. They sometimes look around for pipe accesses. those metal 6" disks held to the wall with a single screw in the middle. make sure there isn't one in the closet. a padlock might look suspicious. i dunno man. don't want the cops there when you get home.

Tho WE know what it is, most ppl are oblivious. Plumber wants your money and so does the landlord, take some precausions and come back home to your babys safely!

I have lockable doors on my bedroom. No one goes in there. They don't look suspicious. Can't even tell it locks till you look at it up close.

I can come home from work and not have to worry if anyone may or may not have seen anything.
