What would happen to a casing if it was in an FC that had like 95% RH?

well. the casing could get too wet and the mycelium would drown.. (thats why some people use that bottom layer of dry verm.). ive also heard of people using foil pans to put their casings in, but putting holes in the bottom so water could drain out. i duno. ive never done casings before, but plan to in the future.

What is causein it to be to high? What are you using as a means of humidification? You could probally lower it fairly easily just increase the air exchange would help im sure.

when humidity is too high, when mushrooms grow they start to grow tiny fuzzy spots on the caps and sometimes stall and rot. This i have done. My guess is that they think there still in an environment that needs to be colonized or the humidity wouldn't be that high.

ya there is no reason to get it that high. the closer you can simulate the real environment the better chance of good growth you'll get and least amount of contams.

I often come to many challenges and intimidations, but then I remember that you only live life once, one single time through, with no reruns or rehearsals. So just live the way you want and the best you can. Its easy.
