Salvia breakthrough?
    #4619957 - 09/04/05 05:20 PM (18 years, 7 months ago)

So, I've been taking salvia as a quid and a tea for a couple of weeks now, trying to acquaint myself with the spirit of the plant. Tonight I had my first full on experience.

I made all conditions right in a quiet, clean environment, and had my fiance as a sitter. I took several hits in a row, and suddenly I was in a place that was very familiar. It was the same place I've gone to in many dreams. I kept saying, "This is my Grandmother's house!" in amazement. That's all I could say. I take this plant for a spiritual journey, and wind up in my "Grandmother's house," as in many dreams. The hilarity of it was amazing. Mind you, this was not the house of my physical grandmother on either side. It was more the idea of Grandmother, in all its sense. But I have been there many times before.

Oh, and physically, I felt this intense gravity pulling me, and I felt like this was destined to be, and that my fiance was not just a sitter, but was a part of it. And so was my dog.

Was this a breakthrough?

I did sense a doorway on the side of the long hall that was my Grandmother's house. I didn't go in yet.

Doesn`t sounds entirely like a breakthrough simply because you are asking if it is or not....you`ll know it when you reach it...an interesting experience non the less.

I hate to sound like a terrible old Whitney Houston song, but how will I know?

But you're right, I suspected that I was just hovering on the threshold, not going in. Maybe next time.

it is normal that some people need many tries.
it also depends a lot on one's expectation... not really for salvia.
if you want a personal hint - simply eat the leaves, make a good quid and EAT... i know its taste is vile... but it's worth.

The taste actually doesn't bother me that much.  I must have strange tastes, because I actually enjoyed it in tea form.  :tongue2:

When you quid, how many leaves to you use?  I'm using dried leaf right now, so it's hard to form, but possible.  Also, when you say EAT, do you mean swallow the material, too?

You should pick 6 big leaves, chew for half an hour then spit it out and that should do it. If your leaves are dry, make them moist by putting them in some water.

yes, pick 10-20 large/mid leaves, wash in water, roll in a 'magic wand' style and eat it like a rabbit would do.
eat all you can, it can be a bit of a waste considering that you might nibble through half of it only...
have a darkish setting and a comfy place to sit/lay... and a bowl for ocasional spits (when it gets too bitter).
good luck!
