 Looters "attacking aid workers"?

Anyone else a little suspicious of the "looters attacking aid workers" stories? Seems to me that if you're looting a store your top priority would be NOT attracting the attention of the authorities. Is this some easy way of demonising looters by accusing them of "attacking aid workers" rather than attacking them on the basis of "reducing Walmarts profit margin this quarter".
If you were clearing out a TV store and you saw an Aid worker up the street would you really go out and attack them? Or stay quiet and load up every TV before getting out of there?

Snipers, not looters were attacking releif aide workers.
Looters is a whole different matter, though some were reported to be shooting at Police officers so they wouldn't get arrested.
The were arresting people. They showwed them pull over one family that was trying to get out in a stolen car. They took the man away in handcuffs and made the rest of the family 2 kids included and 2 other women, get out and walk.

Several contractors came under fire from a band of armed men. Five or six of the thugs were killed by the police. I have heard ample reports of rescue helicopters being fired upon. A doctor said that his hospital was terrorized by a sniper. And, women were raped and people were shot and beaten during the chaos that ensued. Maybe the thugs perpetrating these crimes were looting as well or maybe they weren't. I don't see how that matters much.

THEY WERE LETTING PRISONERS OUT OF JAIL.
Do you think these people, that contain murderers in their numbers, are just going to reform and behave themselves just because there was a natural disaster?
I don't think so.

The people shooting rescue copters can only be described as insurgents - people who want to keep the authorities out of NO to maintain the state of lawlessness.

It matters if you're introducing a shoot to kill policy for someone taking a television set. I think that's an over-reaction.

I'm 100% positive that the shoot-to-kill orders were only for those attacking police and aid workers. I was listening to the NO Police Scanner and the police and NG were telling people not to call them about looters, b/c they had more important things to deal with.

Here's how I view things in order of importance:
1. Social order must be maintained in a situation like that. Violence is occurring. People that are victimizing other people's bodies need to be dealt with. These thugs should be stopped with lethal force.
2. When order is somewhat present, the police should do what they can to help people who are starving and stranded.
3. If the police see somebody looting non-essential things, that person should be shot on sight. I realize that Leftish people tend to have a condescending view when it comes to the importance of private property, but the stuff that people own is a big part of their lives and their wealth. I wouldn't want all of my stuff stolen from me and I don't think you would want that either.

Whose car was it?
What were the owners still doing there in NO?
If they weren't planning on using that car to get out then as far as I am concerned, that car is public fucking property and should be loaded to the hilt with motherfuckers on their way out of there.
...Or if the car belonged to someone who was staying and being useful; helping people.

I agree. Violence needs to be stopped. Whether someone getting a free TV needs to be stopped I'm not so sure. This could be the one chance in their lives they get to own a plasma

Sure, but I think the looters will be concentrating on the big corporate stores in the main part. Whether the family of Sam Walmart are going to be too hurt by the new orleans branch getting cleared out...I'm not sure.

Am I the only person that thought about looting the pharmacies when this occurred? Pharmacies and vet offices. K and oxy's would be flowing like water.
