 Alien vs Predator

Just watched this movie for the first time. I've been a fan of both Alien and Predator films and comics as well, so I was eager to finally see this movie at last, and it was fascinating for me to watch.
Before the movie came out, I had no hesitation in thinking that the Predator would easily have the upper-hand in a war/combat between the two, with their super advanced space-age technology and heightened cognition/intelligence. But watching the video not only made me realize how severely I underestimated the devious, clever and surprisingly intelligent Aliens, but also realize how much more civilized and Samurai-like the Predators were.
Before, the Aliens were thought of as some "mutant-alien-insects" with about as much brains as Hornets or Praying Mantises or the like. But they're actually a bit more interesting than that, and contrary to previous assumptions, they actually kick some serious ass against the Predators.
In fact, the Predators were losing the battle, as their partners began dropping like flies, until the last Predator standing decided it was time to get the hell outta that nest, and even after that the fight wasn't over with just yet.
According to the movie, the Aliens already once won the "war" between the two, some millenia ago in history, so the Predators did their self-destructing-super-bomb as shown by the last Predator that got it's ass whooped by the current Governor of California. This resulted in a total wipe-out of all life and civilization within a 500 mile radius, or something. Talk about some sore losers.
I should clarify though, that there really doesn't seem to be a clear-cut choice as to which partisans of extraterrestrial monsters would emerge victorious in a battle. It all just depends. If Predators walk into any decent-sized hive of Aliens, it seems it's only a matter of time before they're fucked. But pit an Alien vs a Predator in a cage fight, the odds should be in the Predator's favor.
Anyway, the one thing that was a bit of a disappointment in the movie, was that I didn't get to see too much of what the HELL a Alien-Predator hybrid would be like. This was actually a main hope of mine that drove me to rent out the video in the first place. Oh well, maybe next sequel...

Very bad movie, almost funny. At least a little bit enjoyable... The aliens were always sport of the predators.

It was a badass move when the predator jumped up and slammed that pole through that alien.
The rest sucked.

I'm not sure how they set the movie up, and the numbers and such of each adversary, but one predator would kill one alien hands down. Laser guided missiles, thank you.

Although the Predators have technological advantages, I wouldn't go so far as to say "hands down". One Predator got ripped up and tossed in the air by one single Alien in the movie, with just it's long, deadly tail. Never even saw it coming. Apparently the Aliens are extremely stealthy and semi-impervious to the Predator's heat-seeking technology.

You know, what I missed most in that movie was the lost opportunity to see thousands of aliens versus 3 predators The way it was intended acording to the story the gave us. Talk about some ass kicking scenes

Did you guys notice how they tried to make the ending somewhat open by making an alien pop out of the last predator? I don't know about you, but I don't think it's gonna last more than 3 seconds on that ship 
An another point, considering that thw "tournament" or whatever it was was supposed to be thousands of aliens versus 3 predators, what's the matter? Are aliens sneakier and stronger now, or are predator on their downfall in war techniques?
I mean, little arnold could take one out
