Is that a dolphin in some guy's pool? Doesn't make sense if it is..he should be dead?

dolphins can handle fresh water, it's not how they extract oxygen, they're mamals
theres a few species of shark that can also handle both salt and fresh water

anyway, that one's wearing a collar, he's probably someone pet  :smirk:

Some of the dolphins were displaced temporarily to  pools by humans from exhibits/zoos. They breath oxygen and can survive easily in a pool for semi extended periods.  :smirk:

Thats why it is there. They had to evacuate them to safer places from the zoo they are held captive in. I remember seeing it on the news before the storm hit.

Funny how they got the dolphins out to safety first with no problem. Not like it can walk onto a bus. Must've taken a lot of preplanning and effort to remove them all from the zoo.

I wish they would rescue it and air lift it back out into the ocean where it can swim free.

Seriously, I hope they find a larger home for it soon. Small spaces fuck up there sonar and they die easily and quickly in them.

I want a swimming pool with a dolphin in it, that'd be so badass.

Oh, and fred. My avatar thanks you for caring about the dolphins. They care about us. They have rescued many a ship wrecked person from sharks and pushed them to land.

They even saved a pod of over 100 whales in Australia a few months back that kept beaching themselves.

Rescuers pushed the whales out and they came right back in. On the second push out, helicopters saw a pod of dolphins come from the distance and guide the whales back out to deeper water where their sonar could work again.

That's crazy, dolphins have a ton of potential for learning. Very interesting animals.

Whats really neat is that they are a mamal that has evolved beyond the need for sleep. They can shut down parts of the brain for rest while others keep them conscious. I wish I had that skill. There just are not enough hours in the day.

There was a saying in Hawaii when I lived there. It went like this;

Man thinks he is more intelligent then the dolphin because he has built concrete jungles and nuclear bombs where as the dolphin just plays. The dolphin thinks he is more intelligent then man for the same reasons.

Once they learn to harness their sonar into laser beams, we're done for!

See that's what you think now. But the free dolphins are getting pissed about all the ones we're capturing and training for shows and whatnot.

THE REBELLION IS CLOSE AT HAND.
