Wireless Heating
    #4619032 - 09/04/05 12:21 PM (11 years, 11 months ago)

Iam looking for a wireless thermostat that I can place inside my terranium to avoid visible wires for stealth purposes. I have found plenty of these on the Internet, but I have no idea whether they are for mains-heating only or can be used with heat mats. Could someone please explain?

They are just to moniter humidiity and temp most of them you can hook up a bunch of remote sensors, they are sold like this so somone can moniter outside and inside temps and humidity.
They can not be used with heat mats. Heat mats need a thermostat that the mat plugs into, when it reaches set temp it shuts mat off, then when it gets 3 degrees under your set temp it turns it on like the thermostat in your house for heat or ac.
The remote sensors cant be placed inside grow chamber for too long because of excessive humidity, to moniter your chamber set the sensor inside for a couple of hours and remove or the sensor will shut off and never work.
