anyone tried this?
    #461722 - 11/17/01 09:56 PM (22 years, 21 days ago)

using a baby bottle to innoculate, havent got access to syringe
Advantages (over just using a spore print): can be micowave sterilized, minimises time needed to innoculate, rehydrates spores, spores are spread more in jar
Disadvantage: still have to scrape spores into baby bottle initially (point of contamination entry) - can be done on top shelf of oven, like everything else should be
Anyone have any comments?

I have never heard of this being tried.
Why do you not have access to a syringe are you in the U.S.??

I did not see how you would actually do the inoculation of the jars.

alot of pharmacies only sell syringes to people with perscriptions. in california i know that all pharmacies dont sell em because of their problems with heroin i presume.. i live in canada and syringes are very easy to come by.,.. like 20 cents each. and they come sterilized with needle.

dammit, nazi policy in cali! where i live syringes costs cents or they're given away... its how they help preventing people from sharing syringes and consequent HIV transmission...
anyways, can you go to a chem/lab supply store and get some of those nice autoclavable syringes?
